A nice display idea from the USAF SIG
Scratchbuilt 1/600th HMS Blake
Trumpeter's 1/350th USS Nimitz with added extras. Worthy of the competition tables but not entered.
A couple of incredible dockside dioramas with unbelievable detail...in 1/700th scale. See if you can spot the scratchbuilt horse and cart!
Revell's 1/144th Medium Landing Ship cries out for this sort of diorama treatment and this one is particularly nicely done.

The first one is by a modeller who brought this from Essen, Germany. I think it was worth the journey.
And this one has real water in it.
On to the competition tables.
Battle of Rourke's Drift dio surprisingly only merited a third place in class.
Deckard's Sedan from Blade Runner took first in the Sci-Fi class.

1/200th HMS Rodney, despite being hugely impressive, took second in the ships class.
An exploded Abrams tank....but not in a bad way.
The reason HMS Rodney took second. This 1/350th USS Wasp cutaway was utterly breathtaking. First in the ships section and deservedly best in show. I'll let the pictures do the talking.
